<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hello Everyone,</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is my attempt to make a healthy instant noodles but that is not the main reason. Having lived in South East Asia, we always have our noodles seasoning premixed in a bowl just like Dry Wanton Mee or Bak Chor Mee. It really gives the noodles a great flavour.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
However in Taiwan that is not the case most of the time, they would throw the noodles in a bowl and add their all time braised minced pork over it. 9 out of 10 noodles I had in Taiwan all just tasted the same. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love Bak Chor Mee in Singapore, actually almost every noodles in South East Asia. There is only a handful of noodles stalls in Taiwan I really enjoy.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So this is my version as you can watch the video below. The only one seasoning I did not mentioned was fish sauce but you can add later because the Oyster Sauce already have a saltiness to it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So far I love it and will be making more. The only difficult is making the broth but that you can use a rice cooker to prepare it. It took me 4 hour over the low heat flame.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hope you enjoy and comment if any</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<br />
Started in 1979 in Kaohsiung trying to blend in Japanese Style Hotpot with non frozen beef which bring the freshness of the meat in Kaohsiung. Since then this hotpot joint took to another level. Not many tourist know about this area but it is always flock with the locals.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are many versions of Hotpot in Kaohsiung or the whole of Taiwan. But this is one joint I felt in love couple of years back. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>Here are the reasons</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
*The soup base is all using vegetables from tomatoes, radish, cabbage plus other more which created the sweetness of the broth</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
*The beef are so fresh that is slaughtered in Tainan and delivery to Kaohsiung on the same day.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
*Their stir fry dishes are just as good.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I never have such fresh beef, the sweetness and tenderness just blew my mind away. The longer you cooked in the hotpot, the taste just changes distinctively just like you have fresh prawn hotpot.... the sweetness with a beef flavour. The beef just melts in your mouth. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Kaohsiung is not far from Tainan, so the beef is never frozen maybe chill. Tainan has the freshest Yellow Cow meat. I have tasted Tainan beef there but not the hotpot type. In Tainan, their fresh beef are poured our a hot broth and served with ginger. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The shop is closed on Monday because Tainan forbid slaughter of cow on Monday. Have not found the reason why but will try.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This hotpot is best you have a company of 3 or more so you can order more dishes. We have waited for a long time to have this meal and finally we got our staff of 4 to gather this flavoursome dish. We have been to this joint at least 6 times but most of the time just a couple you cannot enjoy much. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This meal we ordered 4 stirred fry dishes plus the hot pot. It is best you book in advance and take note of their opening hours. Do not forget to order their Ox Tail. The stir fry I would recommend are, sesame oil kidney, fry livery and tendons. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
PS Bring a raw egg if you like the Japanese way of having beef. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is the place you have to go </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It has been 40 years I have not tasted this fried chicken. Finally someone told us about it's existence in Kaohsiung. OMG it brings back memories, my old man used to be a maintenance manger for the whole Singapore and Malaysia A&W and Texas Church's Fried Chicken and I always get a free treat whenever I followed him to work.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When KFC first open it's branch in Singapore, I could eat up to a dozen fried chicken. Later Texas Church's Fried Chicken opens a branch in Singapore, that was the best fried chicken I ever tasted. When the management company for both A&W and Texas Church's Fried Chicken failed, all the both branches outlet closed as well. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I started part time working in A&W since 8 to 13 years old so I know what is a good fried chicken. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Back to Taiwan, I do not understand why KFC took the Original Fried Chicken out of the menu. We used to asked for fresh fried chicken and waited 30 to 45 mins for it. The tasted was never consistence, sometimes it too salty. So is MacDonald's Fried Chicken as well.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Texas Church's Fried Chicken however is still the same as I had 40 years ago, juicy and crunchy, not too much flour on it. The taste was not salty at all. Local here like to have salt and pepper with their fried chicken but not me, it already tasted good on it own, even the chicken is cool it still tasted good. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3SDRJo1ZzGRUnliiECysZ58ri2VPr4j1Cxv_6ZfWViIwHwEcWu0IAY0i8fNgxIft-yYT8WpGR8Coyqb1QR3BeYaMpiTPxBGzsiCCng97Wis8ufW1JLJECaesNyWmYNNX-biJkjrf7fAQ/s1600/20180908_205928.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="193" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3SDRJo1ZzGRUnliiECysZ58ri2VPr4j1Cxv_6ZfWViIwHwEcWu0IAY0i8fNgxIft-yYT8WpGR8Coyqb1QR3BeYaMpiTPxBGzsiCCng97Wis8ufW1JLJECaesNyWmYNNX-biJkjrf7fAQ/s400/20180908_205928.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Unlike KFC, Texas Church's Fried Chicken bag each chicken one at a time unlike KFC all their chicken are placed in a bucket which cause the chicken to be soggy. Texas Church's Fried Chicken is cook when order and the waiting time is around 13 to 15 mins which makes it hot and juicy. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkBVMhIy_dYrNsrPtVq5rkcKC80CvqOsYZCDn3AotH4_DprgnAew4PQsnJ7y81uBmpzl1DDzV-Hv052RNtXuoG3aglBkPEU8exL_aS0mln1oaz_IqT_YSTq2owfG9wnKUUrLpL_d5-7kY/s1600/20180908_203032.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="308" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgkBVMhIy_dYrNsrPtVq5rkcKC80CvqOsYZCDn3AotH4_DprgnAew4PQsnJ7y81uBmpzl1DDzV-Hv052RNtXuoG3aglBkPEU8exL_aS0mln1oaz_IqT_YSTq2owfG9wnKUUrLpL_d5-7kY/s640/20180908_203032.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
From now on this will be our only fried chicken when we are craving for it. There is currently 3 branches in Kaohsiung, on the Google link below you will see 2 branches. The third new shop is between LiuHe 2nd Road and ZhongShan Road.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
BTW they do served BEER!! They closed at 9pm.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This time she came to Taiwan with her partner who was having a conference in Taipei so she took this opportunity to visit us in Southern part of Taiwan Kaohsiung. She had only 6 hours and we try our best to let her view the beauty of Kaohsiung and she enjoyed....... except for the June weather. LOL</div>

<iframe allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TNoUik4G5tE" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is one dish you should not miss while in Taiwan. This Mala Hot Pot is not like those in Sichan, China too spicy and hits your head real hard. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Stinky Tofu is soft on the inside and doesn't smell at all. The Duck Blood is simply amazing, better than those of Pig's Blood. It is very soft in texture and comes with a unique flavor .</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hope you guys enjoy. </div>

I had many Lontong from Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. This is by far the best since I had from my Singapore neighbor during Hari Raya Puasa; after Muslim Fasting month. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Each region makes this dish differently. The ingredient are very complex, this is basically a curried turmeric coconut milk dish with other spices cooked with variety of vegetables and compress rice cake. </div>

This stall makes one of the best and the prices for other dishes are very reasonable. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have never been a Samsung fan, Sony have always been my choice for last 15 years. Back in Singapore 2016 my son had a Samsung S7 and he had made me change my mine. Back then Sony did not have the phone of choice so I have decided to purchased a Samsung S7. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The S7 was my adventure tough phone, made videos, Navigate, edited videos for Youtube, entertainment etc. Recently due to poor anger management I have damage the screen.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So the phone was sent for replacement screen and when it came back the led and sensor was not working. Back it when for service and when it returned I asked if the phone is still waterproof and I did not get an answer. I decided to put it to the test and it failed!!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The service center called and told me the phone could not be repaired and they can't do anything about it!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Moral of the story if you send your phone for repair it is best you check with them. I made this video so everyone around the world can take note about this problem. As for me now if I do not get an answer I will bring this to Consumer Association. </div>

Javanese Ayam Penyet aka Javanese Fried Chicken was introduced to Singapore only the last few decades. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Chicken is fried to an exotic spiced taste. This dish was recently introduced into Singapore slightly more than 2 decades. The fried chicken is smashed with pestle to soften the meat. The specialty is the sambal and the special marinated chicken. I simply love it and I think it goes well with Nasi Lemak aka coconut rice. </div>

328 Katong Laksa maybe the answer ...</div>

Laksa is a dish with very unique taste, close to curry buy not. This is a flavor even Gorden Ramsay wants to challenge. You have to taste it. I was born with this dish.</div>
